G/Ward Johns, Vo.G/Joe Rayshu, B/John Kvam, Dr/Phil Gafstan, Vo/Debbie Parks, Mellotron/Jean Heim Formed in Nevata in 1965. This is their only remaining album.
“-Omitted- BIRMINGHAM SUNDAY was produced at the end of 1967 in such ALL-AMERICAN RECORDS, and only about 100 copies were test-pressed in early 1968. It is said that around 10 albums are confirmed to exist, so it is recognized by psych fans as a monster album with an antique value of over $1,500. However, the biggest reason for their popularity is that they are pioneering the use of "Mellotron" in the US psychedelic world. -Omitted-』
Attached saddle stitch Excerpt from Kota Ikebe's Liner Notes
"Birmingham Sunday was a band from Nevada consisting of Ward Johns, Debbie Parks, John Kvam, Jean Haim, Joe Lachu and Phil Gustafson. Not much is known about the band and its members, but [Message from Birmingham Sunday] was originally released as a test press in 1968 on the All-American Record label. Although the band performs a variety of styles, the music on this album is predominantly folk-based, psychedelic pop sound with strong vocal harmonies. The singer alternates male and female vocal leads with a background wall of sounds containing guitars, wind instruments, swirling organs, and synthesizers. The entire album clocks in at just over 27 minutes, but it's a delightful piece of late-'60s psychedelia. The CD itself has good overall sound quality, but some sounds seem to fade in some songs, probably due to the quality of the master tapes. Despite some minor flaws, it's nice to see such a rare album finally getting its due release. ~ Keith Spettipass ”From direct translation of TOWER RECORDS overseas information

``The only album (1968) of the mysterious band of 5 men and 2 women, which debuted from the mainstream that also belonged to Big Brother & The Holding Company and Amboy Dukes, is 'Psychedelic Journey. As one of the 'series, it was made into the world's first paper jacket CD. The psychedelic flavor that reflects the era has something in common with the early Jefferson Airplane, and its pastoral world view is also reflected in the sound. The extent of their ability as a garage band can be seen in their kava sense. For example, in ⑥ of The Yardbirds, the guitar solo that copied Jeff Beck is hot, and it is a highlight here along with ⑧ of Fred Neil (Japanese title "The Other Side of Life"), which Jefferson and others also picked up. . Also pay attention to 10 by Buffalo Springsfield, who recorded 36th in the US with the Hollies' 1 and Mojo Men. If you're lucky, you should have at least one hit. I really want to listen to the one-hit wonder garage duo. 』
Record Collectors December 2008 issue, from Haruo Miyake's liner notes
"The only work of a folk rock group that debuted from the mainstream. A rare formation with two female vocalists and a male lead. A beautiful chorus like a hymn is attached to the vocal. The arrangement of the guitar and keyboard is also refreshing, showing good taste everywhere. The overall impression is something like a "classical Jefferson Airplane". I think it's a piece that soft rock fans can listen to without hesitation. Includes Fred Neil and Stephen Stills covers. It's a shame that the original song is a little lacking in decisiveness. 』
Record Collectors July 2002 Psychedelic Frenzy From Takeya Sekiguchi's liner notes
As rumored, both boards are definitely hidden "masterpieces". Burningham Sandy's songs and men's and women's chorus work are lined with moist and up-tempo songs Especially the female vocal leads The 8th song has an oriental melody with a voice like Daniel Vidal and an interlude like the Hollies' bus stop is wonderful It's done. This is a 1967 recording. The Growing Concern has a carefully crafted sound, and a gentle female chorus like a Japanese red bird is mysteriously involved. Good guitar solo too!
I'm sorry, but I won't sell them separately. Please purchase a set of 2. Although it was carefully stored, the board surface is beautiful, but the storage period was long, so please refrain from nervous people. I need your help by a no claim no return. I will try to ship quickly.
