① is
The first solo album by Roger McGuinn, leader of the Byrds. It was released in June 1973, just after the Byrds broke up, but it has been reissued by Sundazed with unreleased bonus songs. It is interesting that it has a rich variety of original songs, showing off new ground such as surf rock and Latin, as well as Bob Dylan-like folky numbers, British folk style, and country rock, which are common in the Byrds era, and even features numbers by Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham. On the other hand, the electric 12-string guitar, a trademark of the Byrds era, is played subduedly. It cannot be denied that the impression is a bit scattered, but you can enjoy Roger's relaxed and unrestrained playing. Featuring fellow Byrds members and LA's most famous musicians. Bonus tracks are the traditional 'John, John' and Jackson Browne's 'Jamaica, Say You Wll'. His second album 'Peace On You' was also reissued by Sundazed with bonus tracks. '

'Roger McGuinn's 1973 album was his first solo work, released after the reorganization of the original Byrds. It features Bob Dylan on harmonica on 'I'm So Restless', five original Byrds members on 'My New Woman', a jazzy approach with Charles Lloyd, singer-songwriter style, and country rock, while two British traditional tracks offer a glimpse of his folk roots. It's like McGuinn has expressed his musical views all at once, which is refreshing. The bonus track is "Jamaica Say You Will" (written by Jackson Browne), on which Clarence White sang in the Byrds version. '

② is, 'The following year, in 1974, his second album, Peace on You, was produced by Bill Halverson, who had become famous for producing CS&N, and was a more polished album than McGuinn's previous self-produced work. The use of Lee Kusler and Russ Kunkel, a rhythm duo that was popular on the West Coast at the time, and the presence of Al Cooper, who was invited from the East Coast, also played a major role. In ⑤, he belittles himself for being asked to play songs from his Byrds days, and the punchline is harsh, with a phrase from the Byrds' "Rock 'n' Roll Star" inserted. Perhaps ⑨, where he talks about his memories of the folk era before the Byrds were formed, shows McGuinn's true feelings. The bonus tracks are McGuinn, Kris Kristofferson, and Bob. This is a collaboration with New Works ⑪, an early version of a song released on McGuinn's 1976 album [Pirates]. 』

③ is,
"The third album, [New Challenges] (1975) under the name of Roger McGuinn and Band, features Richard Bowden (a man with country rock connections such as Shiloh and Cold Steel). Produced by John Boylan, it captures a West Coast band approach, but still has a slightly B-grade feel. The lack of new songs, such as Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door," a revival of a Byrds song, and songs written by the members, led to negative reviews. However, the performance is vivid, and the bonus features are two later Byrds revival live songs with a different lineup. 』
